Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
Dough
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 2 cups whole milk room temp or slightly warm
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 packet or 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
Filling
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¾ cup softened butter
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
Steps
- In a large bowl, whisk milk, butter, and sugar
- Sprinkle yeast over top, let sit for 1 min.
- Stir. Let sit for 10 minutes somewhere warm.
- Add 4 cups of flour. Stir into wet dough.
- Cover with cling film and let sit for 1 hour to rise in a warm place.
- Butter some pans
- Mix filling ingredients together
- preheat oven to 340F
- Add remaining flour to dough
- Add baking powder and salt
- Knead for 10 minutes
- Roll out into rectangular shape
- Spread Filling
- roll and cut
- put in a pan and freeze for up to 3 monhts, or let proof 30-45 minutes
- Bake 25-30 minutes
